If you want to get your heart rate raised, join me for a 30 minute HIIT session. A coached swim set that’s guaranteed to make you work hard.
A warm up, some drills, a main set and then something fun to finish, followed by a cool down in the main lake.
You need to be able to complete a lap of the lake non-stop in either Breast-stroke or Front crawl, as the main sets will be around 10 minutes consistent work. You can, however, stop at anytime for a few seconds to gather your breath as the sets are AMLAPS ( As Many Lengths As Possible)
Meet me at the family swim area, which is next to the Aqua Park. I use this area so the barrier to the AquaPark helps define a “length”
Bring a drink of water or a sports drink
The set starts at 7.30 am so please arrive at least 15minutes early to get changed and have a few minutes warm up
I will explain the session at the start, it will be written on a white board and we will rest in between sets so I can remind you what’s next!
Swim hat, goggles and either come in your wetsuit or normal swim attire
